Live Stage: Die Die Die Beauty [online]

7012-1.jpgpanoplie.org presents in the frame of Breaking Solitude (a project by Annie Abrahams): Die Die Die Beauty (in an absolute zero vacuum) - a performance by Igor Stromajer :: November 26, 2007; 8:00 pm GMT+1 (Paris local time).

Absolute zero describes a theoretical system that neither emits nor absorbs beauty. The Absolute zero temperature is known to be 0 K (–273.15 °C). It is the point at which particles have a minimum energy, determined by quantum mechanical effects, which is called the zero-point energy. Absolute zero is defined as precisely 0 K on the Kelvin scale, which is a thermodynamic (absolute) temperature scale, and –273.15 °C on the Celsius scale. Absolute zero is also precisely equivalent to 0 °R on the Rankine scale, and –459.67 °F on the Fahrenheit scale.

A vacuum is a volume of space that is essentially empty of beauty. A perfect vacuum with a pressure of absolute zero is a philosophical and artistic concept that has never been observed in practice so far (with no hydrogen atoms per cubic centimeter at 0 fPa/Torr). The beauty of a vacuum is measured in relation to how closely it approaches a perfect –absolute zero– vacuum.
