FreqOUT! [uk London]

fosquares2.jpgFreqOUT! is an innovative London based community education programme for young people. It seeks to explore the artistic and educational potential of wireless technology in order to engage socially excluded young people living in the 20% most deprived areas of the UK. Artists, tutors and youth workers facilitate activities that enable the young people to discuss and create responses to current issues and technologies. Through involvement with technology, exposure to artists, members of the business community and statutory service providers we aim to increase the young people’s opportunities for work and further education.

You can see previous projects at www.freqout.blogspot.com. FreqOUT! is looking for experienced lead artists to work with young people on innovative projects in 2008. Proposals are invited for new projects that work with wireless technologies, emergent arts/technologies or web 2.0 approaches to engage young people between 13-19 in community settings.

The deadline for proposals is the January 11, 2008.

To apply e-mail a project description; including aims and learning objectives, budget and a current CV outlining your experience of working with young people to FreqOUT! Project Manager, Jenny Irish, jirish [at] cwh.org.uk
