Virtuelle Mauer/Reconstructing the Wall - an interactive 3D installation by Tamiko Thiel and Teresa Reuter (T+T) :: August 13 - September 7, 2008; Opening: August 13; 7:00 pm :: Speakers: Dr. Lieselotte Kugler, Director, Museum for Communication Berlin; Rainer Klemke, Berlin Senate Office for Cultural Affairs, Head of Senate Working Group for the Berlin Wall Memorial Concept; Tamiko Thiel and Teresa Reuter :: Museum for Communication Berlin, Leipziger Straße 16, 10117 Berlin.

In the interactive art project Virtuelle Mauer/ReConstructing the Wall the artist team T+T has created a virtual reconstruction of a section of the Berlin Wall, from the former border crossing Heinrich-Heine-Straße up to the Engelbecken / Adalbertstraße. Visitors are invited to explore this immersive 3D virtual space, experiencing what it meant to live “in the shadow of the Wall.”

US Premiere: November 9, 2008 - January 10, 2009 :: 911 Media Arts Center, Seattle, WA.
