Live Stage: Alberto Gaitán [us Washington DC]

dump.jpgAlberto Gaitán’s sound work for the FOUND SOUND project, dump, forages amongst a growing Internet field of sound files contributed by the artist and others. His computer program will chew, ruminate, and digest these sonic raw materials in real-time to bring forth the audio atmosphere inside a repurposed portable latrine.

Alberto Gaitán’s ( and Eric Celarier + Tom Greaves) will present at Dorkbot DC :: October 22, 2007; 7 - 9 PM (ET) :: Smith Hall of Art, Room 114, George Washington University, 801 22nd St NW, Washington, DC :: Email: dorkbotdc at dorkbot.org.

Alberto Gaitán is a composer / programmer / artist who creates a wide range of multimedia artwork. He will present Remembrancer which deals with transformation, memory, and the spacial, temporal and cultural resonance of events through automated robotic painters responding to news data flowing in over the Internet.
